MAKING

What kind of materials do you use?
All of my cotton products are made from 100% recycled cotton. Rings and dowels are made of wood, sometimes foraged and debarked myself. *Other materials are available for commissioned pieces.*

What materials do you use to pack your items?
Most of my packaging materials are repurposed mailers, boxes, paper, tissue, and plastic. I do my best to not purchase new, unless it’s recycled paper. Many of my materials come from neighbors and my local Buy Nothing group!

What protocols do you have for working in a sanitized environment?
I am regularly getting tested for COVID-19. I wash my hands before working, and regularly wash my hands while making a piece. (Those darn cotton fibers!)

ORDERING

Why can’t I change the quantity of an item in my cart?
If you were able to add a single item to your cart, but cannot increase the quantity, it is likely there is only a few of that item left! Feel free to contact me if you have questions.

If something is sold out, when will it be back in stock?
If items are listed but sold out, I am doing my best to create more! Sign up for my newsletter to receive restock announcements as well as promo codes, new design drops, etc.

I have a promo code I can’t use because something in my cart is already discounted. Help!
Promo codes can only be applied to items that aren’t already discounted. I recommend placing two separate orders. Use your promo code on the regular priced items and place order as usual. For your already discounted items, choose “Pickup” for your shipping option so you won’t be charged any additional shipping fees. Be sure to message me and confirm your items should be shipped together, and I will include them in one package.

I saw a photo of a piece you made on your instagram but it’s not on your website. How can I place an order for it?
If it’s not on my website, the piece is either something I am no longer making, or it was a commissioned piece. Message me and we can discuss whether it’s a commission (see info below) or if we can find another design that works for you. 

COMMISSIONS

Are you accepting commission requests?
Absolutely! I love collaborating with folks to create the piece they’ve been dreaming of. Send me a message and let me know what you might be looking for! We can discuss inspiration, colors, dimensions, budget, etc. It’s also totally okay if you have no idea what you want. We’ll figure it out together!

I saw a photo of a hanging I love. Can I commission you to make an exact replica?
Not exactly. While I enjoy making commissioned pieces from photos that inspire you, I will never try to make an exact copy of another artist’s work. When you commission me to make you a piece, you are trusting me to take the vibes you like from several sources of inspiration and allowing me to create a unique design just for you! 

SHIPPING

How long will my order take?
It depends! Made-to-order items (ie. plant hangers, Progress, Not Perfection) usually take between 5-10 business days to make, plus shipping time. During busier seasons, please allow 7-14 days for me to make your items, plus shipping time. I do my best to update item descriptions with accurate making time.

Ready-made items like coasters are ready to go on the next shipping day, usually 2-3 business days from placing an order, plus shipping time.

When do you ship?
My shipping days are Monday and Thursday mornings. I do this to eliminate excess trips to the post office so I can be at my work station making more knots!

I ordered a ready-made item on Thursday. When will it be shipped?
Because I usually make post office trips in the mornings, a ready-made order placed on Thursday will likely be shipped out on Monday.

Do you provide tracking information?
Yes, I do!

My order status says "delivered" but I haven't received anything. Can you send a remake?
All USPS Priority Mail is insured. If this happens, either you or I can file an insurance claim, but many times if the package is scanned as delivered, USPS will not refund the shipping fees. Please check with your neighbors or other possible drop-off areas. I do not hold responsibility for stolen or lost packages.

Do you ship to Canada?

How do I dispose of your packaging materials?

RETURNS

Do you accept returns?
I only accept returns for damaged items. Please note that cotton cord is very forgiving, so if a piece is a little misshaped after unwrapping, it can easily come back together. Please see Care and Recycling for instructions on how to get your piece to look its best!

My item arrived and is damaged. How can I initiate my return?
Please message me and include a description and photo of the damage. While I do my best to wrap dowels with plenty of cushion, sometimes packages get handled poorly. I will happily offer you a remake for damaged wooden dowels or rings.
